As I told you in my previous blogpost I will share some of my favorite MBFWA shows with you on BrittaMaxime! Today I want to kick the series of with the first show I attended at MBFWA, IINUA by Joelle Boers and Bregje Cox.
This show inspired by an Eskimo tribe was gorgeous and I felt very lucky to be able to see the designs with my own lens ;) Joelle Boers & Bregje Cox are two very talented people graduated from the Academy of Fine Arts & Design in Maastricht.
Before the show started I was super excited because I already had seen some photos of the collection which was also shown at FashionClash Maastricht. When the doors opened and I could find my seating I made sure to have a nice spot in the audience so I could make some cool shots. Which worked out really well by the way, I am a little bit proud of the photos I am showing you today ;)
Joelle Boers and Bregje Cox made a gorgeous collection inspired by the native Inuit tribes. The designs showed gorgeous graphic prints looking like rocks and crystals. The hoodies looked really cool and all the details in the designs fell into place perfectly. Not only did the designers made gorgeous clothing, they made intriguing graphic masks and paired the collection with gorgeous killer heels by Chris van den Elzen. The use of a soft and icy blue with a little bit of sea green gave the IINUA collection even more flair and power.
Overall this collection really got stuck in my mind. The items where really wearable as well as original and creative. I think that this fashion show might have been one of the best ones I have seen during this edition of MBFWA! But hey, there are more blogposts to come! Some of my favorite designs were the skirt with see-through material, the gemstone sweather (comfy!) and every item of the fifth look (see below). I might even buy them if possible and affordable!
I am looking forward to hear and see more from Joelle Boers & Bregje Cox!
What do you think of this collection?
