Hey loves! I’ve been a little off on the blog side the last week, after my move to Amsterdam and trip to Paris I had to adjust a bit and get used to living on my own. Now, finally, I’m writing my first travel post again after a long time! Now I have a lot of tips, not only for Paris, so if you want me to write posts about my trip to London, New York or Florence for instance… Let me know in a comment!
One of my friends is living in Paris for 10 months, so of course the girls and I had to visit her! So on Friday May 1st we took the Thalys to Gare du Nord, where 3 hours later she came to pick us up. The Thalys is simply the easiest and fastest way to get there in my opinion! We arrived around dinner time, so Iris took us straight to dinner in the neighborhood she works; Opéra. Right on the beautiful Boulevard Hausmann we had dinner at La Taverne.. Such a lovely place!
We stayed until Monday evening, so we had 3 full days to explore the city. It was my 3rd time in Paris, so for me there was no rush to see any specific place, just enjoy and see the best places of the city.
Soooo… My tips for all of you visiting Paris:
- My favorite neighborhoods:
Le Marais and Saint Germain; If you just love to wander around in a city where you can find pretty boutiques, interior shops and cute cafes/bakeries these are the perfect areas to go. When I visited Paris last October, we stayed in Le Marais and we simply had to walk out of our hotel room to find ourselves surrounded by lovely restaurants, cool people and hotspots! - Where to eat:
Café Charlot; We spend our Sunday brunch at this place and everything was just perfect, I’ve heard about the place but if it was as good as everyone said I still had to see and it is! The service is fast, food is good and the area is great (Le Marais).
Smiths bakery; Get yourself some cheesecake or delicious cookies in this cute, little bakery located in Saint Germain (tip from my little Parisienne to be Iris)!
Kiccho; Yummy in your tummy this sushi place! Spend the weekend in Paris and went here 2 times.. It’s that good! Located in Le Marais.
Le Pain Quotidien; A place we also have in The Netherlands and may not be very Parisian, but oh if you never tasted their Petit Déjeuner, you must go here.. Can be found pretty much in any arrondissement of Paris.
Paul; Want to grab a quick lunch or breakfast and are you longing for a real French baguette? Then Paul is your place to get it!
La Taverne; Yes, the place I told you about earlier in this post. - Where to shop:
Oysho; This place has the cutest bras, bikinis and other things you’ll need once seeing it!
Merci; The best place to go interior shopping, wander around or have a coffee…
La Fayette; An impressive shopping centre in an amazing building, next to this our “Bijenkorf” is nothing.. The French do it better? Haha!
Oh, and psst… These photos were taken at the Tuileries, next to Louvre museum which is the perfect place to sit and relax in the sun! :)
Have a good weekend! Kisses, Britt
Really nice you were in Paris to visit your friend! Le Marais is my favourite neighbourhood. Was there every weekend when I was living in Paris last year.

Hihi dankjewel!

Erg leuk!! X
